  2. Select Your Participants: Decide who you will study. Will you focus on a specific age group or a diverse population?

  3. Choose Your Method: Determine how you will collect data. Surveys, interviews, and observational methods are common.

  4. Collect Data Over Time: Schedule regular intervals to collect data from your participants. Consistency is key!

  5. Analyze Your Findings: Once you have gathered enough data, analyze it to identify trends, patterns, or changes over time.

  • The Dunedin Multidisciplinary Health and Development Study: This famous study followed a group of individuals born in Dunedin, New Zealand, in 1972. Researchers tracked their health and behavior into adulthood, providing insights into how childhood experiences affect lifelong health.
